Many of these lasers emit energy only partially absorbed by water, but also skin pigment (melanin) and blood protein (hemoglobin); the latter two having no effect on nail fungus.
Our CoolTouch® 1320nm laser is a gold-standard skin laser. Nails are simply modified skin, therefore, the CoolTouch® is ideal for nail fungus treatment. Certified Laser Specialists precisely deliver laser energy which is completely absorbed by water, killing embedded nail fungus without harming healthy tissue. The CoolTouch is equipped with a thermal sensor to monitor treatment temperature, variable spot size for uniform and precise treatment on all nail sizes, and cryogen cooling for patient comfort and "thermal shock" effect.

The CoolTouch® Nd: YAG CT3PLUS laser is FDA cleared to market for general podiatry, dermatology general surgery, hemostasis, ablation, wrinkle reduction, mild to moderate acne vulgaris, acne scarring, and endovenous ablation of the greater, lessor, saphenous and tributary veins. The CoolTouch® CT3PLUS laser is currently under investigation for onychomycosis. Lasers promoted as FDA approved may be falsely advertised and only FDA cleared for "temporary increase in clear nail".
